Twisted Shamrocks

I don't usually celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  In fact, last year I chaperoned the Jr. Prom.  (Well, there was the year I went to several clubs with my friend Candy.  The next morning I found a trail of green confetti from the parking lot of my apartment complex up the stairs to my door.  That is never a good sign!)  Anyway, I have found so many cute treats for St. Patrick's Day this year that I decided to make some for my friends.
I found these cute pretzels here and they were really easy to make.
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees F.  Line a baking sheet with some waxed paper and arrange three pretzel twists and a pretzel stick as shown.  Place a Hershey's Kiss in the center.  Place in the oven carefully so you don't disturb the alignment of the pretzels.  Bake for four minutes, remove from the oven, and place a green M&M in the melted chocolate.  Smoosh the M&M so that the chocolate keeps the pretzels together.  Allow to harden (I placed mine in the freezer for a few minutes).
I packaged them up in celo bags tied with green ribbon.  Aren't they cute?
Give them a try!

Note:  Transport these treats carefully because they break easily!

  2. Adorable! I'll be doing these next year! They'd be great to do with the kindergarten kids, too.
