Valentine Wreath

This Valentine Wreath just makes me smile!
I found it here and thought it was absolutely adorable.  It is one of the easiest wreaths I've made and, since it is made out of socks, it is also very inexpensive!
I used a 16-inch extruded foam wreath.  I cut the top with a large serrated knife to create an opening for the socks.  I used four pairs of Valentine socks which I found at Walmart in a two-pack for $2.97.  I cut the socks right above the heel and discarded those pieces.  I placed the socks (one by one alternating the pattern) around the wreath starting with the cuff.  When all the socks were placed I glued the wreath back together with a hot glue gun.  Then I positioned the socks around the seam in the wreath and scrunched them until I got the look I wanted.  I overlapped the cuff over the next sock so I wouldn't have any raw edges exposed.  I made a bow out of coordinating ribbon and hot glued it to the top of the wreath.
This wreath took me less than 15 minutes to make and I absolutely love how it turned out!
Give it a try!

Note:  While buying the Valentine socks I found some seriously cute St. Patrick's Day socks so be on the lookout for another wreath next month!
