Pink

I have pink hair!

Well...the tips of my hair are pink!  I think it is awesome!  I have been longing to do something bold and daring for a while now and it was either this or get my tongue pierced.  I figured coloring my hair was the least painful option!  I mentioned to my stylist (and good friend) GayLynn that I wanted to do something really wild and she got excited but she gave me a week to think about it.  I told my students and some of them were really shocked that I would do something like this.  I guess they think that teachers are a pretty conventional lot (which was all the more reason for me to do it).  However, some of my students thought the idea was really cool.  So this morning I went pink!

I know that not everyone will like it or even approve.  In fact, some of the other patrons in the salon didn't think it was "proper" for a teacher to do something like this.  But I absolutely love doing the unexpected!  As I was leaving the salon, one of the other stylists yelled out, "You rebel."  It made my day!
